More about Nicoline and Janet
Nicoline Jacoby Hansen, Meeting design expert, CEO PLUS Agency and author
Nicoline Jacoby Hansen is an expert in participatory meetings. She holds a PhD from The Danish School of Education/University of Aarhus and an MA in communication and psychology. Her PhD explored how to develop new conference formats based on adult learning theory and dramaturgy. Today she is the CEO of PLUS Agency, a conference consultancy based in Copenhagen which focuses on developing participatory meetings for a broad mix of clients, ranging from private companies to public institutions, employers’ organizations, trade unions and NGO’s. She has published a number of articles and books about conferences and learning, leadership, knowledge management and visual research methods and her new book on participatory meetings will be published in English in 2016.
This session presents a novel approach to participatory meeting design that keeps people's attention throughout an entire meeting and, as a result, increases their overall outcome.
Inspired by dramaturgy and adult learning, five design principles will be presented along with numerous examples of how to apply these principles. The cases presented will focus on association meetings and company meetings like strategy kick-off meetings or other types of employee meetings for 300+ participants.
During the session, you will get the opportunity to practice applying this approach to your next meeting design. So think about your next meeting and bring the information along!
