Over 900 business travel professionals will gather in Frankfurt on 9-11 November for Europe’s largest business travel conference – GBTA Conference 2015 | Frankfurt, which for the second year running will be held in partnership with German business travel association, VDR.
The event will take place in Frankfurt Congress Centre and is expected to attract delegates from more than 20 countries. The programme will feature:
15 breakout sessions
More than 8 hours dedicated expo time
Invaluable networking throughout highlights being the Welcome Reception and lavish gala dinner
The programme contains dedicated meetings content such as ‘New broom, new rooms – rebooting the corporate meeting’ a session looking at how companies are transforming the way in which they stage meetings that will feature industry experts such as Mike van der Vijver of Mind Meetings; Osama Hirzalla, Marriott International and Stefan Rief, from the Fraunhofer Institute. The event will also see the release of at least four new research studies including a session on MICE to present the findings of a study on the new ways to optimize processes.
However, the converging roles of the Meetings Planner and Business Travel Manager means that much of the non-traditional meetings content is very relevant too, other sessions including:
How do I take my travel programme mobile and wearable
The sharing economy – am I managing a threat or an opportunity
How will NDC change the way I buy air
Build your own travel management technology (strategy)
Sustainability – why new EU reporting rules have made green travel management essential
Travel risk management 2.0
The future role of the travel manager
The future of the TMC
The Business Travel Outlook
The expo will provide a valuable opportunity to source and meet with new providers including airlines; travel management companies; technology providers; hotel groups; car rental companies and payment solutions providers.
When planned properly a conference like GBTA Conference 2015 is a very productive use of time from an educational; networking and sourcing perspective. To help delegates make the most of their time, GBTA and VDR have developed an event app to plan their time effectively and link in with other delegates to ensure they make the most of the experience.
