The MPI Finland Chapter's annual Christmas Get-Together is a chance for the MPI members to come together to have some fun and network among themselves. The event always takes place in a different venue that gets to showcase their venue and services. The Best Western Hotel Rantapuisto, located right at the sea in Eastern Helsinki, proved to be a atmospheric place suitable for many kind of meetings and events.
The chosen charity for this time was Hope Ry, which aims to improve the every day life of children of less priviledged families. It is a politically and religiously nonaligned charity and operated by volunteers around the country. It offers aid for families who have been struck by a crisis or for children who have been taken into custody. Hope Ry recycles usable clothing, supports childrens' hobbies and enables joyful leisure experiences that the families and children would otherwise struggle with. The need for a charity like this is strong and all donationas are appreciated.
The aim for the Christmas Get Together was to provide Hope Ry, and therefore the children, with Christmas presents and help bringing joy to the holiday season. The group of 20 participants gathered nearly 50 presents for Hope Ry which was a great success.
The MPI Finland Chapter would like to challenge the other MPI Chapters around the world to help with charities in their community as well.
