Why should we ‘give back’? How will it help?

Your peers are giving back to help others in need… how can you join them ?

Industry professionals in Europe are ‘giving back’ more money, time and expertise than ever before.

Over the past year and a half, a transformation has been taking place in Europe.  Meeting planners, hotel sales staff and other industry professionals have been giving more of their time, expertise and money to raise funds for educational scholarships and grants in Europe.

So why are they choosing to ‘Give Back’ now?

We spoke to several people from a wide range of roles and their stories had a common theme; none of them would be in the job/role/position/company they have today if they hadn’t had the benefit of MPI connections and education. Everyone agreed that in recent years, when budgets have been very tight, there hasn’t always been access to training or the funding from employers for industry-specific education. So by helping to raise funds for educational scholarships and grants, these opportunities were being opened up to those in need in our industry.

Securing tomorrow by strengthening today!

Over the past two years the MPI Foundation has ensured that, as a fund-raising organisation, it has a truly philanthropic focus – to secure tomorrow by strengthening today. The MPI Foundation’s objective is to fuel the growth and advancement of MPI members by providing them with professional development and career opportunities through grants and scholarships. All funds raised in Europe are spent here in Europe to assist those in need here in Europe.

If you too have had the benefit of good connections and education, isn’t it time to consider how you can also ‘give back’ and join this growing network of philanthropic individuals?

Through the MPI Foundation, this has just become very easy to do!

Here are a few suggestions to help you decide on the best way to ‘give back’ and help those in need here in Europe:
